Wrought From Love

During the latter portion of 2004, I undertook a project to create my first ever Musical Album. After three months and over a hundred hours of writing lyrics, searching for samples, recording and editing, I finally completed 21 tracks of what came to be known as “Wrought From Love” =D

Track #2 - Sweet Hamster Techno
Music by The Urbz, Lyrics by Mike Sego

Lyricks:
Let’s all go to sweet hall
It’s always such a ball
Who even needs alcohol
When there’s programming

Staying up all night
Watching morning sunlight
I am feeling all right
Just give me some caffeine

I’m insane for Elaine
I go gaga using Saga
I’ll use fable he’s so able
Take me raptor as your captor
Firebird and Amy too, UNIX I love you!!

[Chorus]:
221 It’s so Fun
242 It’s fun too
143 Good for me
244 Give me more
145 Jump and jive
Get my kicks staying up till six
247 I’m in heaven
248 This is great!

[Yee-haw Break]

Trying not to be a flunky
Fighting off those shadow monkeys
Eating all those goomy bears
and [Radio Edit] will be there

[Chorus]

Track #5 - Let’s Get It Charted
Music by Black Eyed Peas, Lyrics by Mike Sego (feat/ Kirk and Eric Lai as muses)
Original Concept by Matt Person
Includes Original and a cappella versions

Lyricks:
Let’s get it charted, in heeeeeeeerrrrrrre

And the boat keeps sailin’ sailin’ and
sailin’ sailin’ and sailin’ sailin’ and
sailin’ sailin’ and sailin’ sailin’ and
sailin’ sailin’ and sailin’ sailin’

(Magellan)
In this conquest, ain’t got no map
Release the sails, and let ‘em FLAP
got three years to circumnavigate
this whole globe for the Spanish Magistrate

So lose your inhibition, follow you intuition,
like Galileo gotta break away from tradition
They say it’s F-LAT, but we don’t HEAR DAT,
Stars speak louder than anyone’s MOUTH
You ain’t wit MAGELLAN, you ain’t REALLY SAILING,
I can take you north west east SOUTH

All ya seamen, All ya seamen
Keep believing, keep dreaming
(Shove Off!) Get it charted,
(Hoist the Anchor!) Get it charted,
(Man The Deck!) Get it charted

Let’s get it charted (port) Let’s get it charted in here
Let’s get it charted (starboard) Let’s get it charted in here
Let’s get it charted (port) Let’s get it charted in here
Let’s get it charted (starboard) Let’s get it charted in here

(Magellan’s Sidekick/Cartographer)
Cartography
Ain’t easy
Don’t got no food
Got scurvy
Natives scalp Heads
We Bust Rhymes
Been making waves
Since 1509

Forget Columbus
Drop de Gama
Ameri-GO HOME
‘fore we Vespucci yo mama

Ponce De Leon just can’t handle it
Marco Polo y’ain’t discovered sh--
Francis Drake better come correct
Cuz Magellan is thugged out an gonna break ya neck

All ya seamen, All ya seamen
Keep believing, keep dreaming
(Scuttle the rigging!) Get it charted,
(Man Overboard!) Get it charted,
(Thar She Blows!) Get It Charted (LAND HO!)

Let’s get it charted (port) Let’s get it charted in here
Let’s get it charted (starboard) Let’s get it charted in here

Let’s get it charted (starboard) Let’s get it charted in here

*randomness*

sailin’ sailin’ and sailin’ sailin’ and
sailin’ sailin’ and sailin’ sailin’ and
sailin’ sailin’ and sailin’ sailin’ and sailin’ (fades out)

Track #7 - Muse Abuse
Music from “Time is Running Out” by Muse
Lyrics by Mike Sego

Lyricks:
Look at your playlist
It just has one song
It’s something about
Communism

Listening to Muse
Overdramatic
But you can’t stop it
Cuz you’re an addict

You will play the m-p-3
Yeah, Oops, I mean, the o-g-g

[Refrain 1]
Hearing it
just can’t stop Playing it
Repeating infinite
This addict needs a hit

[Refrain 2]
When will your ears blowout?
When will your mind burnout?
What is this song about?
Why must he always shout?

Much more than garbage
Or even No Doubt
Nothing gets more play
Than Time Is Running Out

Boys on the Radio
You have been dethroned
Not even Sugar Ray
Can Answer The Phone

You will loop it infinitely

Hearing it
just can’t stop Playing it
Never get sick of it
You’re never gonna quit

When will your ears blowout?
When will your eyes blackout?
Why must you play it loud?
When will poor Jojo pout?
How did it come to this?

Muse Abuse 3x (more like... Muuuuuuuuuuse Aaaaaaaabuse)

Yeah you will loop it infinitely

[Refrain 1]

[Refrain 2]

Muse Abuse 3x

Track #12 - The Woman and The PC (should be friends)
Music by Rodgers and Hammerstein
Lyrics by Mike Sego and Kirk Shimano

Lyricks:
Girl - "I'd like to call this WICS meeting to order"
Man - "Well I'D like to order you to get back in the kitchen!"
Girl - "How’d that man get in here?! WICS is a safe space for civilized
          discussions between empowered women!”
Greg: “...and Greg Hochmuth"
Man – “Eh, why don't you dish-scrubbers go back to the humanities where you belong"
Girl – “Haven’t you heard, there are Women in Computer Science”
Man – “WOMENFOLK?? Why I oughta... sing a song!!”

[MAN]
The Woman and the PC can’t be friends
Oh, The Woman and the PC can’t be friends
One just likes to cook and clean
The other is a big machine
And that’s the reason why they can’t be friends

[MAN]
Womenfolk should love their sponges
Womenfolk should clean the house
Whipping some mashed pertaters
While wearing a purdy blouse

Girl – “Come on girls (and greg), let’s shatter this glass ceiling of a man”

[WOMAN]
The women and the PC should be friends
Oh The women and the PC should be friends
They’re girly than you think
Why else is my iPod pink?
Cuz the women and PCs are friends

Man – “Oh, go rear a child”

[WOMAN]
Women can be good programmers
Women can be good PMs
All you menfolk just are jealous
Of our scholarships and gams

[MAN]
Womenfolk should love their sponges
Womenfolk should clean the house
Whipping some mashed pertaters
While wearing a pretty blouse

Girls – “Show ‘em what WICS (and Greg) is all about”

[WOMAN]
The menfolk just don’t understand our sorrows
They try to hold us down in our places
But time’s a changing-and you’ll see tomorrows
I’ll be designing user interfaces

Track #13 - I Like Big Butts And I Can Lie Well
Music by Sir-Mix-a-Lot, Lyrics by Mike Sego (concept by Julie)

Lyricks:
(Becky) Oh my God Mikey, look at her butt
(Becky) It is so... big
(Becky) I mean her butt... isn’t it huge?
(Mike) Uh... not really
(Becky) What, are you kidding? I can’t believe it’s so round... it’s just out there
(Mike) I don’t really notice. She seems like a nice person...
(Becky) Are you just blind? Or... are you lying to me?

(Large Black Man)
I like big butts but I can lie well
You tattletales best not tell
So when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist and that round thing in your face
I stay Calm
Don’t drop the bomb
Just ask where she is from
I like those jeans she’s wearing...
But I won’t be caught staring
So, baby, I wanna get to know ya
But let’s take it slow ya...
Your behind sure is great,
But good things come to
(the high-pitched “miso” voice)
those who wait

(music fades)

Track #17 –Dong Fang Hong (The Communist Theme Song)
Traditional Communist Chinese Song made famous by Mao Lighters

Lyricks:
The East is red, the sun has risen,
China has made a Mao Zedong.
He makes fortune for people,
Hu er hai yue, he's the saviour of us all!

Chairman Mao loves the people,
He is our guiding leader,
Leading the people forward,
Hu er hai yue, to develop New China!

Communism is like the sun,
It shines on everything
With the Communist Party
Hu er hai yue, China will be free (Mao Zedong)
